I got was put on a 72 hour hold but received nothing from police or anything like a ticket or criminal charge?

I was drunk and said I wanted to kill myself cops arrested me on Sunday morning and put me on a 72 hour psyche hold. I got out early after psychiatrists found me sane and just drunk. I got no paper from the incident saying whether I was charged or anything, I am 19, so I should have been charged for underage drinking or at least I should have got a ticket or something. Yet I go on Wednesday to the court clerk to see if I am formally charged with anything or received a ticket and they say no. They send me down to the District attorney's office to check if I am charged with anything and they say they don't have a record to charge me. Did I get off? The cop did feel bad for me. I figure the charges or anything would have gone through by now. So am I off?

My little girl is 16 months old and STILL not walking!?

Lyla June just turned 16 months on the 19th.She has not yet walked on her own.She can pull herself up by the furniture and even walk around it. I even caught her pulling herself all the way on her sisters bed.She says things like hi mama hi dada ,baba ,sissy,she can wave and say buh bye i even got her a cookie the other day and she smiled and said COOKIE! she does point at things! Her problem solving skills seem to be great she can put building blocks together,turn the pages in a book,she loves to babble on my cell phone..and get down off of furniture without falling...ect..i have been working with her everyday but when i try to get her to walk while im holding her hands she will bend her knees and laugh about it like its funny.Its not so funny to me,though and im starting to get concerned.She is a little petite for her age...could this have something to do with it?

Help! just had surgery for ovarian cysts a week ago and drs on vacation!!!!!?

I have been in and out of the doctors all months to figure out what's the severe sharp pain in my mid back and my right side would have spasms. First it was a kidney infection and a uti.. got my antibiotics and took that whole prescription like I was suppose to. Next day pains right back. So I go to the doctor again. And then he thought I was sinsitive in my women area and thought it was another infection. He gave me antibiotics again and ordered me to see a gyno asap. So next day I went. And he examined me and I was just really sinsitive. So he ordered a sonagram. So I went the next day and got it. And by this time the pain is unbearable and he looks and sees a lot of fluid around my right ovaries. Then he thinks I have appendicitis and he thinks mu appendix ruptured. So got rushed into surgery. Came back to it. And he told me. I had a ruptured cyst and I was bleeding internally, I'm severely constipated. My livers stuck ( not functioning like it should cause of infections) and I'm probably going to have problems with my liver and my appendix. But my concern is I'm si tired but can't really sleep. My heads killing me, and all that pain I had in my back before I went to surgery is back and worse. I'm getting so irritable and snappy at everyone and no one wants to be around. I don't like this and I just want to be better. But idk what to do cause my Dr. On vacation, and I'm so mad at his nurses for sending me back to work 4 days. Later, and I lift 120 + pound people all day. With 3 places. I have stitches including inside my belly button. Am I still suppose to be in this much pain, and tired, and enraged all the time? I need advice PLEASE HELP! !!!!!!!!

Just want to know if its normal to have swollen hands after hives.?

I was on a medication for a UTI last week sunday. I remember 2 years ago i had a UTI and i took medication and i was allergic to the Sulfur in it, so i broke out in hives and had to take Benadryl. My doctor gave me a different medicine this time, one without sulfur, called Microbid. I took it for the whole week and this tuesday i started to get hives on my elbow, fingers, wrist, hands, and knees. I took 1 tablet of benadryl 4 times that day. Yesterday, wednesday, the hives stopped but my hand and fingers started to swell up on my right hand. Today its my left hand as well. My right hand seems to be going down really slowly and i got a hive on my left ankle. Is it normal to swell after getting hives? I took Benadryl yesterday and today, but today i increased the dosage to 2 tablets instead of one. I just want to know if this is normal.

How do you know when your spleen has been ruptured?

I had mono (or glandular fever) symptoms in the last week of May, and today I've started to feel pressure behind my left rib cage where my spleen is. I walk a around a lot, but I don't want to do any strenuous work for a few more weeks because I don't want to rupture my spleen. But could it already be ruptured? Right now, it feels like my spleen has expanded a lot.

Could sharp pelvic pain have been a ruptured ovarian cyst?

On the third day of my period, I had a sudden attack of really strong pelvic pain and cramping and bright red vaginal discharge with lots of little dark clumps (normally it's really dark red). The cramps felt like 9cm dilation during labor! My family took me to the emergency room and after a pelvic exam and ultrasound, the doc was left scratching his head - he said I didn't have any cysts, and the blood pregnancy test came up negative. I refuse to believe it was nothing - it was horrible and very real! Could it have been a ruptured ovarian cyst? Anyone else have an experience like this?

I am a 23 y/o f. About a month ago I met this guy at a bar and we really hit it off. Ive been in the Army for over 2 years and during my time in the service I've had to undergo 2 surgeries. One surgery was to repair a torn MCL and the other was to repair ruptured ligaments and tendons in my foot. Since 2009 I've mostly been on a profile of some sort due to those injuries. I was doing physical therapy but it didn't help like they thought it would. Last year I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, and 2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Gout. Need major help, fiance wants to go back with her baby's daddy for her baby's sake even if shes not happy...?

My fiance has a 2yr old child and the father will not allow his child to be around me. She's taken him around me a few times and he even called me dada the last time I saw him. The reason they broke up is because he doesn't pay attention to her. He's a great provider to the extent of serving breakfast in bed before leaving to go gamble. They aren't sexually active and she says that all he ever wants is for himself. They rarely kiss and she got tired of everything and left. So a little history about my son. He was colic for 4 months. Once he outgrew colic i thought things would be better for him, but it got harder and harder. He is very hard to please and when you cant please him or figure out what he wants he will throw many tantrums a day and sometimes hard to calm down. It could be he wants a snack...he will pull his hair or bite himself. He gets very frustrated and anxious very easily. So that is his way of communicating. Naps are very hard, he will not sleep without whitenoise or motion. I have tried a swing but he has always hated that. He will take me up to an hour to get him down for a nap and the whole time he is throwing himself back. He has trouble self soothing. He needs routine and anything outside of his routine throws his whole day off. He is having trouble in Day Care and spends most of his day fussing and not only that they cant get him down for a nap. My son was saying mama...dada..and aagoo. Then it all stopped about and he hasn't said it since January. He constantly needs one on on attention or play. He will not play with something no longer then a minute. I have set up 3 playrooms in my house in with 30 minutes we have completed them all. I cant leave the room for a second it will get extremely upset. He has no interested in watching tv. The only thing he will watch is baby Einstein xmas and if you change it he will let you know about it. I brought him to a specialist and she said he is showing signs of sensory Integration. He is getting evaluated tomorrow by an occupational therapist. For those who have children that are older and got diagnosed with SID. What were your children like as babies? Tramadol causing headaches, ear pain, jaw pain?

Been taking Tramadol for several ruptures discs and pain from Cervical fusions. I have had lots of headaches with ear pain recently and I'm beginning to wonder if it's from the Tramadol. They're miserable causing my whole left side of my head to hurt and be very very sensitive. Has anyone had this type of problem while taking Tramadol. I didn't take it for several hours and the pain in my head and ear improved drastically. Im confused how something for pain can cause pain if this is the problem. three weeks ago on the 8th my boyfriend and i were messing around and he ended up getting pre-*** on his fingers and then touched me down there. On Saturday the 18th i got what i thought was my period. I had extremly bad cramps , my skin broke out, and i was kind of bloated. It stopped sunday night which is really weird for me because theyre usually 4-6 days long. I had light spotting on monday and tuesday. My friend suggested to take a pregnancy test so i took one on that wednesday the 22, which was 2 weeks from the wednesday when my bf was over. It came back negative. The same incident between my bf and i happend again the past tuesday the 28 which was day 11 of my cycle. I took a pregnancy test just now to see what it'd say and it was one of the ones with blue dye..the control screen had a really thick blue line on it and the positive screen had a really really realllyy thin, faint blue line.(could this be false or could it be true?)I havent gained weight Ive actually lost 2 pounds, i dont have morning sickness, and im not sensitive to any smells. I have an almost 10 month old daughter and was wondering if the things she is doing are right on target? She is babbling mama, dada, baba and sometimes combines sounds, army and hands and knee crawls, pulls up constantly, sits up from lying down and is starting to cruise. She does some imitations like hits the floor or table when I do, coughs, and will bring her fingers to her mouth to make funny noises when we do it and sometimes she will do it first to make us do it. She seems like she is right on track to me but she still isn't clapping or waving and I've heard most kids do this by 9 months. At summer camp last week a Guy that hates me walked in on me changing out my trunks in a stall and I begged him not to tell anyone what he saw he said for 5 dollars a day I said OK then Monday he did it again I said wtf is your problem he said he would tell every one if I didn't pay him 10 I said my mom is wondering why I ask for 15 dollars everybody to go to the center and its only 5 bucks to get in he said have it by Tuesday or ill tell I didn't have it so he told every body I mean every body all the girls call me little **** or carrot **** and they keep saying all asains have small ***** and Wednesday. 2 girls pantsed me in the gym and everyone was espeted it. they probably put it on YouTube so today I went and it was the worst day I told the activity director he asked them what happened he told my mom I ran around the girls locker room nude and my mom yelled at me the ride home she still let my friend come over but dad was called on the phone he gave said I'm grounded until this school year starts and I'm.going to stay with him to learn my lesson next week about showing my self to others and I have apologize to them and the center he never believes me and he still punishs me like I'm 7 I'm 14 i have to clean his.house i probally will have to go to tje girls house and work off my dishonor like when i kicked a neighbors dogged when it attacked me i had to walk the dog and fed it,my mom is mad she said I can't go there again they wont even believe me I love going there now its all my fun I have like 1 daywith my friend he's the only one that belives me I wish hell stay longer my mom won't spank me if he's there?? 11 month old son,, is his weight ok?

my son has always been a slow weight gainer ever since he was born, his birth weight was 7lb 3oz he is now 11months old exactly and weighs 17lb 8oz,, also about just over 27inches tall i don't think he will triple his birth weight by the time he turns 1 is this something to be concerned about? he is eating right and also still having 3 bottles of baby milk cow&gate a day so im sure he should be gaining loads of weight from that, he is eating everything i eat plenty of fruits and veg plus vitamin drops but just gaining weight so slow also he has been a bit slow on rolling over,crawling,sitting, saying mama and dada which he still don't say that often, he has only just learn to clap his hands wave and put his arms up plus he only just learn how to put one foot in front of the other only now and then he has no balance at all while standing, is this anything to be concerned about? he is healthy and the health visitor said he is fine but i just think he's a bit small for his age and not gaining enough weight hes not skinny he has a fair amount of weight on him like the chubby belly and legs so he looks fine could there be a reason for slow weight gain and growth? also he only has 2 teeth most babies i know at the age of 7 and 8 months old have like 7 or 8 teeth thanks

Why do tax brackets work this way why is it that a Rich/Wealthy person the first few 000 dollars may be taxed?

It's been 3 and a half months after acl surgery and swelling comes back!?

Ok, so i tore my acl and lateral meniscus. Had surgery. It has felt fine the whole 3 months and 2 weeks so far. My physical therapist massaged it tuesday. That night it started popping when i would fully straighten it and bend it to about 90 degrees. Then wednesday it started to hurt when i bent it. And it was still popping. Now today, thursday, its still popping when i straighten fully and bend to about 90 degrees. And also it wasn't swollen at all. It had all went away. And now it's swelled right back up. The ACL graft still feels tight. Anyone know the problem?

How to see more results from working out? and other related questions?

I workout every week about 5 times, 4 at the least. my routine is monday-chest/tricep. tuesday-back/biceps. wednesday-legs. thursday- shoulder, forearms, abs. friday-saturday is mostly cardio and maybe a little bit of weights. i used to workout full body monday through thursday and even though its not good i still saw a lot of progress. with the routine i use now i still do see results but not as much and i feel like i lose some of the muscle while the week that i rest that specific muscle. I do take a supplement, syntha-6, but is there anything else that i can do that will get me more results? and my second question was if i do cardio after lifting weights should i drink my protein shirt before the cardio or after?

Has anyone ever become pregnant before there next period after ectopic surgery?

I had emergency surgery 6 weeks ago for the removal of my left fallopian tube. I had bleeding on and off since week 4 and at my early scan 3 weeks later showed It was a suspected ectopic, 36 hours later I was rushed into surgery because my tube ruptured and I had internal bleeding. I lost alot of blood and stayed in hospital for 2 days. I am now anaemic and taking 3 200mg iron tablets a day for the next 3 months. My surgen advised me we could try again after my first cycle. It has been 6 weeks 1day and I still havnt received my period. I am worried because I have early pregnancy signs. (could be imagining this) We had sex 16 days ago and i had a BFN 11 days later. We planned on waiting till my 2nd period passed to try again and stupidly had sex unprotected sex as it took 13 months to conceive our first and 7 months for the second. Our first ended in miscarriage at 10w 3d.

The radiator isn't going to rust that quickly, but it is a 15 year old truck. Park it on a clean space & leave it run, & see if anything is dripping... Also, after you dump the coolant, keep the expansion tank topped-off. Check it every day or two, & fill it as needed, until it doesn't drop. Once you have filled the radiator, don't pop the cap again, just the expansion tank.

I'm in ROTC, well i'm contracted but it's the summer before my freshman year. so i've been doing optional PT with the other cadets. Usually only a handful show up. Wednesday the 2 cadets i ran with were both guys, well over six foot, and i'm a 5'7 girl who's 4 years younger than them. so they had longer and stronger legs than me. after i chased them 2 miles up a hill and sat on the sidewalk puking they informed me they were both on the college track team. wtf?! anyways, no surprise my legs are killing me today (this happened yesterday) but there's another training session tomorrow. Should I go if my legs still are sore? i'm the only incoming freshman who's doing this optional pt with them, and one of the few cadets over all, even though it's strongly encouraged, so i don't think i'll look like a wuss if i don't show up tomorrow morning (friday). but i still don't want to just slack.

I've had pain in my lower right side, for about 3 weeks now. I have been to the hospital and the doctor multiple times, but they haven't done much. My 11 month old acts like she doesn't know who I am?

My daughter is about to turn 11 months old. She can say "dada" "gigi" (which is my mom) "pop" (which is my stepdad) "gadada" (meaning grandaddy, who is her great grandfather) and "spongebob" Everytime I try to teach her "mama" she laughs like she is going to do it or wants down. I have been in and out of the doctors all months to figure out what's the severe sharp pain in my mid back and my right side would have spasms. First it was a kidney infection and a uti.. got my antibiotics and took that whole prescription like I was suppose to. Next day pains right back. So I go to the doctor again. And then he thought I was sinsitive in my women area and thought it was another infection. He gave me antibiotics again and ordered me to see a gyno asap. So next day I went. And he examined me and I was just really sinsitive. So he ordered a sonagram. So I went the next day and got it. And by this time the pain is unbearable and he looks and sees a lot of fluid around my right ovaries. Then he thinks I have appendicitis and he thinks mu appendix ruptured. So got rushed into surgery. Came back to it. And he told me. I had a ruptured cyst and I was bleeding internally, I'm severely constipated. My livers stuck ( not functioning like it should cause of infections) and I'm probably going to have problems with my liver and my appendix. But my concern is I'm si tired but can't really sleep. My heads killing me, and all that pain I had in my back before I went to surgery is back and worse. I'm getting so irritable and snappy at everyone and no one wants to be around. I don't like this and I just want to be better. But idk what to do cause my Dr. On vacation, and I'm so mad at his nurses for sending me back to work 4 days. Later, and I lift 120 + pound people all day. With 3 places. I have stitches including inside my belly button. Am I still suppose to be in this much pain, and tired, and enraged all the time? I need advice PLEASE HELP! !!!!!!!!

How can i make my period end quicker?

The only way you can make your periods lighter and painless is with birthcontrol, which I would highly recommend! As far as ending your period earlier... no matter how many methods you try, it won't greatly reduce the length of your period. Maybe by an hour or so. By then your period should be light anyway and nothing to worry about!

What happens when a girl ovulates? Is it light pink-ish, brown-ish?

Me and my husband tried the at home turkey baster method last tuesday and again on sunday. According to an online ovulating caculator I was most fertile saturday and sunday. Should I write a letter apologizing, or leave it alone?

My friend was forbidden to talk to me, and I really miss her. So I was thinking of writing a letter to her mother explaining why I am sorry, though technically it wasn't my fault. What happened was I told her I had mono and I could die from it. I was diagnosed by a physician and everything, and if your spleen swells up, and a force makes it rupture, you could die. She started crying. Her mom called me a drama queen and said that you could die from a splinter, but you couldnt die from mono. I told my mom, and my mom got furious, and said we couldn't talk. I called her one last time, and she started crying. Her mom said I made her an emotional wreck that past week, and she needed to hang up the phone. A week later, when I tried to call her because I could talk again, her mom won't let me talk to her. I want to write a letter apologizing, but then again I feel as if it's not my fault. But I really want to talk to her, and I don't know what to do.

He probably needs speech therapy to show him how to use his mouth, lips and tongue. Call your local early intervention for a free evaluation. He most likely will catch up when he is older, but is alway easier for you and your child to start as soon as possible with speech therapy. I don't think PAT has every had a child or known a child with speech delay. There are many things that can effect speech as well as not teaching your child how to communicate and speak properly. That is why it is best to get an evaluation to see if it is more then just not teaching your child how to talk. Like autism and other disorders. I think Pat was a bit harsh!

It can bleed a lot, but it's still normal. You will be fine. A lot of first-time girls panic about it, but just clean it up and put on a tampon to prevent from bleeding a lot. It's like having a period. Trust me, you will be okay! :)

I wouldn't care what they say or how they feel children hit their milestones at different times sometimes on, early or late my son is 18 months he sings and talks when he wants but he doesn't say whole sentences yet am I worried? Not one bit because he understands EVERYTHING I say boys develop slower than girls sometimes my niece didn't start talking until she was 2. If the pediatrician isn't worried than I wouldn't worry if you read up on the monthly milestones they'll tell you a lot so I would just ignore the negative comments.

I dont remember how or the direct moment it happened, but I was just sitting down at the computer next thing I notice is that me right ear is muffled. Is it just a coincidence that I dreamt of my terminally ill neighbor the night he died without knowing he died?

This past week I was on vacation with my family outside of the country. I wasn't able to bring my phone with me because of international charges so I had no way of receiving information from friends or family at home about anything that was going on. On the Thursday night while on vacation, I had a dream of my terminally ill neighbor passing me on the street who then told me that he wanted to come over one night & spend some time with my family. I returned from vacation the next Tuesday and the next Wednesday I received news that my terminally ill neighbor had died that Thursday that i dreamt of him .. Is this just a coincidence or does it mean something that he was in my dream?

How do I handle this parent anxiety?

I babysit this 18 month old girl who's parents are asking me questions every day. The little girl seems to cry every time they get close to my house for drop off. I have no clue what the problem is. I feed her breakfast as soon as she gets here, give her a cup, usually check to see if she needs changing, and then have little activities to do with her. She has limited language ability and I can only understand "Mama" and "Dada". She is standoffish and seems to just want to play by herself. She is an only child. I read her books before nap time. I even wash and braid her hair once a week and only charge $85 a week. I feed her breakfast, lunch, and a snack every day, plus give her milk and Calcium fortified juice. I am also working on potty training this little girl. She is very funny about eating. She seems to only want sweet things and I fix foods from scratch like veggies and spaghetti, tacos, mac and cheese, etc. Her mom asks me so many questions every day. Like, why is she crying when she comes here? Why is she so hungry when she gets home? If she is being potty trained, why does she have a rash? I don't know the answer to most of these questions? Now her mom wants me to call her every 2 hours so she can talk to the little girl. I really feel offended by all of the questions and wonder if I should just tell the mom to take her somewhere else where there is staff that can give one on one therapeutic attention to her daughter. Did my cat catch ringworm from the vet and can I hold them responsible?

I'm a college student and I took in a half-starved kitten I found in my neighborhood about 4 months ago. He's probably about 6 months old now and hasn't been outside since I nursed him back to health. I saved up money to take him to the local cat shelter to get neutered a week ago this Thursday. Tonight (wednesday night) I noticed a patch of ringworm in his groin area. I know exactly what it is because I've had cats before who've had it, and I've had it myself. I know it was not there a week ago when I took him in because I inspected his incision (I've heard horror stories about the shelter). He and my other cat haven't been out of my house since I got him 4 months ago. Could he have caught it at the shelter, and can I hold them responsible? I don't really have the money to treat him right now, but I don't want my other cat to get it! Also, what can I do to keep from catching this??? I have scarring from the last time I caught it, and I don't want to go through it again! I'm terrified!

Look we all want to think our babies are above average. But what we don't realize is that they all develop at different speeds. So we don't know if she's above average. You'll have to ask your pediatrician. And I wouldn't say above average either. My aunt takes care of a little girl and she was speaking by age 1 VERY clearly. We were all amazed but never thought of her as "above average".

I am sorry you are so frustrated. I can tell you that around that age, my son had around 30 words and by 24 months, he had 75. I was worried he was behind back then, too. Try not to worry, all children develop at different rates. This is VERY true! Try not to compare him to other kids also, although I know it's easy to do. Anyway, keep working with him for the next 2 months until his 2 year check up. Read to him daily (picture books especially are helpful), etc. Does he point? This is also a good indicator that he is on track. If he is not pointing, you may want to mention that to your doctor. I believe that by 24 months, toddlers should have around 50 words on average. If he doesn't, you can always mention your concerns to your peditrician. Take care, hun!

Question about the bladder?

I got diagnosed with 1 ruptured ovarian cyst, two 3 cm cysts, and several small ones on my right ovary that are leaking blood. Aside from all that, now I am having trouble going to the bathroom. I literally have to think about peeing and concentrate on pushing out the urine. I drank about 5, 20 fld. oz of water and several other drinks and didn't have the urge to go to the bathroom at all, but when I do go it's annoying to have to think about trying to get my body to pee. Usually peeing is brainless and I can be half asleep and go pee and go back to bed. So I am wondering if the cysts can be putting pressure on my bladder thus making it hard for me to pee? It all started on a wednesday. I think it was may 25, but anyways the day went really awesome, but that night randomly this thought came into my head that when people die, its just nothing forever, and it was really wierd, because it really freaked me out and made me sick to my stomach. I am a first time mother and my 16month old doesn't talk. He says "mama" and "dada" and occasionally "no" but other than that, he shows no interest in talking. He does, however, understand a lot. He knows where his eyes, nose, ears and mouth is. When I ask him to get the ball or remote, an he will. He knows when I tell him to open or close something. I went back when my daughter was 8 months old. It was very difficult and had cried on my first few days. Every child is different and some take their time with these milestones, like talking. Be patient and work with her. I'm sure here in the next couple months you'll see a huge improvement. MIld/Moderate Tongue Tied in 19month old. Any suggestions on what to do?

I'm moderately tongue-tied, never had anything done as a child, my parents were in the military and I guess the doctors didn't feel it was severe enough to do anything. My brother was also born moderately tongue-tied, the doctors just cut the underpiece at the hospital when he was born. I didn't realize that you'd have to see a surgeon or an ENT to get that fixed. I just know when I was in college I wanted to get my tongue pierced and no place would do it because they said i was too tongue-tied and would probably require surgery first if I wanted to get my tongue pierced so obviously I didn't do it figured it was too much of a hassle. I'm thinking it should be a pretty simple surgery that could probably be done under local anesthia very easily & quickly.

I dont know what to do, my 6months old wakes during the night constantly. He is not hungry cause he starts this about 2 hours after he goes to bed and wakes repeatedly through the night. three weeks ago on the 8th my boyfriend and i were messing around and he ended up getting pre-*** on his fingers and then touched me down there. On Saturday the 18th i got what i thought was my period. I had extremly bad cramps , my skin broke out, and i was kind of bloated. Yesterday last night and today i woke up with weird discharge on my underwear. it was really dark and ive had two tampons in since and theyve all had the dark brown discharge and some blood. im having slight cramps atm, too. I assume you speak sign language so what you do is talk to your daughter in sign language. Also say the words out loud so that she learns how to speak verbally too. Both my parents are deaf and so BSL was my first language. I picked it up through my parents speaking to each other and through watching them. I started speaking properly at about 18 months so your daughter is fine.

I think i have Swimmers Ear?

This all started when i was on a airplane, i landed and my right ear felt like it was DEAF so (note this was 3 weeks ago) then i went to sleep and when i woke up it was 100% (i'm guessing pressure?) Then 2 days ago i picked my ear to see if i could take out some earwax and my ear felt weird for a day. Then yesterday at night i picked my ear and my earwax (Super Wet and Gooey) was making me deaf, so my mom took it out and then at night, everytime i woke up i would clean my right ear because it would feel like it had a little bit of wet moistness in it. So i don't know what i have? Swimmers Ear? Ear Infection? Ruptured Eardrum ? ? Should i see a Doctor? I'm freaking out and im hoping i can get a answer and maybe a home remedy?

18 month old doesn't talk?

My son hit all of the milestones early, except talking. He is 18 months and only says "buh" for "bye". He seems to understand us though, I will ask "where is your cup" and he will go get it, and the same thing with his toy phone. He will go on and on in his language though. If you talk to him, he sounds like he is having a long conversation (just not in english). Everybody thinks his baby talk is so funny because he talks all day in it. He probably has 200 of his own words (not english), but never uses them for the same thing. So should I be concerned that he only has one partial word? He doesn't even say mama or dada yet..and when he does it is just part of his blabber.

My 14 month old little boy isnt talking?

By 14 months most babies have at most a vocabulary of 5-10 words. He likely understands many more words but he is trying to learn how to say them. He's learning how to work his tongue and lips and voice box in harmony to do what seems to come naturally for us since we've been doing it so long. But it really is hard (if you've spoken only English your whole life try learning to say a few words in a language such as Chinese and you'll be reminded how hard it can be) but at this age it is normal for them just to babble and not say anything that the parents can understand. He may also have abandoned a few sounds he has mastered (mama, dada) as he explores. You may hear more consonant sounds coming from him over the next few months. Once he has a good set of sounds to work with he'll start stringing them together and before you know it you'll probably wonder why you ever worried to begin with. If you're going to well baby visits your pediatrician should reassure you that he's not behind any milestones. You should contact them if you have any concerns or just to ease your mind but it sounds like he's a perfectly normal 14 month old to me.

Hello there, my 5yr old daughter was diagnosed with HSP(henoch schonlien purpura) about two weeks ago, she still has significant rashing and bruising(urine etc is clear of blood). My partner has a close relative who is into natural and alternative therapy, and she is quite adament that lymphatic drainage massage would clear up the rash/bruising. I am sceptical and will seek medical advice before even thinking about it, but was wondering if any one out there has any thoughts on this, or has heard of any other possible treatments that might help my daughter with this nasty condition. I am sceptical of the whole "massage" therapy idea in this case simply because the nature of the condition means that the blood vessels close to the skin rupture with only the slightest of pressure, and I dont see how anyone manually manipulating/putting pressure on my daughter's little body would do anything other than to make this symptom worse. thank you.

My niece is 11 months old and only says 2 words?

She only says 'mama' and 'dada', the rest is complete babble. She knows what yes and no mean, but can't say them. I'm pretty sure she knows what sleep, or 'bedtime', means but she also can't say those. Is this normal for an 11 month old? Should she be talking more? This is my sister and brother-in-law's first baby, and I'm just wondering if maybe they're messing up or doing something wrong. It would have to be stretched to tear it. when you bump it like that the muscles usually tighten up their tendons to make the whole muscle shorter than normal so it pulls a lot to cause the pains. The tendons are harder to free up than the muscles so they should be done by one trained to do them.

well, first of all, i have crohns disease and cysts as well. i know that when i have raw fruits i get really sick. cravings are part of the disease i get it too. ive told my g.i. doc and he said its normal. i would suggest not having those foods and eat pretty plain and bland for awhile. it worked for me although i still get sick from eating certain things here and there. crohn's sucks; ugh.

Activities while you cook dinner: give him some cooking things like a plastic bowl spatula whisk etc and let him "cook" you something on the floor or at a table near you/ play dough..... Have him make you something/ watch Elmo/ have something fun he does only at dinner time so he looks forward to it and enjoys it while you can cook.
