MIld/Moderate Tongue Tied in 19month old. Any suggestions on what to do?

I'm moderately tongue-tied, never had anything done as a child, my parents were in the military and I guess the doctors didn't feel it was severe enough to do anything. My brother was also born moderately tongue-tied, the doctors just cut the underpiece at the hospital when he was born. I didn't realize that you'd have to see a surgeon or an ENT to get that fixed. I just know when I was in college I wanted to get my tongue pierced and no place would do it because they said i was too tongue-tied and would probably require surgery first if I wanted to get my tongue pierced so obviously I didn't do it figured it was too much of a hassle. I'm thinking it should be a pretty simple surgery that could probably be done under local anesthia very easily & quickly.
